1. You are a criminal investigator for your agency. You receive a report from a patrol unit alleging that a local veterinary clinic is dumping needles and empty chemical containers as well as animal carcasses in a creek behind the clinic. Is this a crime for your agency, or should you secure the scene and contact the local Environmental Protection Agency representative? What actions should you take? What if a child dies after swimming in a pool of water downstream from the clinic?

2. Discuss how policing, sentencing, and the justice system are applied to real-world situations and how they can not only increase your chances of career or life success but also ensure your safety as you perform duties in a career of being a Police officer.
