1. Victimology is viewed as a subset of criminology. Additionally, victim profiling is considered a subset of criminal profiling. Do you agree with the theory that victimology studies should be a subset, or should this theory stand alone as a means of studying why people become victims? Why, or why not? Explain your reasoning.

2. Assume you are a drug addict, and you decide to burglarize a home to gain property you can trade for drugs or sell for cash to buy more drugs. Based on the theories you have studied, which theory would apply to your motivation to commit the crime as opposed to the theory that motivates a professional burglar? Why are these theories different even though they apply to the same crime? Explain.
