Under the Overpass by Yankoski

Question

Students will write a book report on the Yankoski book, "Under the Overpass".

1) The first section of the book report will be a paragraph summary of each section of the book and the epilogue for the expanded version. For instance, the summary for section 1 is one paragraph; the summary for section 2 is one paragraph, etc. There will be 12 paragraphs in this part of the book report: 1 for each section, one for the introduction, the epilogue and one for the overall summary of the book. You will also have an introductory paragraph.

2) The second section of the book report will be the students' perspective on how the author’s views align/misalign with social work values and the Bible. Consider all the social work values with paying special attention to the dignity and worth of a person. (make sure to cite your source here and you can refer to the values of social work through the NASW Code of Ethics found here https://www.socialworkers.org/about/ethics/code-of-ethics/code-of-ethics-english and the social work values found in the books you are reading for class/class notes and lectures such as the PPT presentation in Module 2 entitled Social Work Values and the Bible).

3) Students are to express the influence this book may have on their lives.

Students are to write the paper in APA format. The content of the paper is to be 5 - 6 pages. The title page and reference page are in addition to the 5 to 6 pages. The summary and content of the paper should use in text citations with the page numbers of the content such as this (Yankoski, 2010, p. 5). Use of subheadings for each of the questions 1-3 being answered above is also needed
