CHECK LIST
YOUR PAPER MUST CONTAIN:
1. A Bibliography or Works Cited page: A list of all the books and articles you have used for information. This will be the last page of your paper. A Works Cited page lists only the books from which you used information.
2. Citations: Give credit to EVERY PIECE OF INFORMATION OR QUOTE THAT YOU GET FROM A BOOK, ARTICLE, OR OTHER SOURCE. Citations are written within the text. They look like this: (Author’s last name, page number). For example: (Jones, 74). You will need citations for INFORMATION AND ALSO FOR QUOTES. You should have one or more citations PER PARAGRAPH on average.
3. A paragraph describing a piece of music that is connected to your paper topic.
Listen to the piece and write about what you hear.
4. Must be proof read: It should be as close to perfect as you can make it. Don’t use slang expressions, don’t over-quote (2 or 3 quotes or less per paper on average.)
