Question
This is my personal statement to help you out.
This is a tremendous opportunity for me to gain experience and learn new things. I have always wanted to help the people in our society to make life better. My name is Wiktoria Hatala, I am a 23 year old student attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice and I am currently majoring in criminology, and my minor is psychology. I am in my final semester of obtaining my bachelor's degree with a 3.7 GPA.
In my previous academic career I have graduated from Laguardia Community College with a associates degree in Criminal Justice in June 2019. The reason why I have decided to go with the masters program of International Crime and Justice is because I have discussed the idea with the professors in John Jay College of Criminal Justice. After educating myself and understanding from my discussions, I have been influenced with the possible careers that I can pursue in the field of International Crime and Justice.
International Crime and Justice is a field that I believe would be a perfect fit for my characteristics and strengths. One career that interests me is working in the United Nations or Interpol, I have always had the feeling of satisfaction when I problem solve to help individuals out, I strongly believe that if I work in these types of organizations, I would be able to contribute in developing a cordial relation between the nations. The category of illegal immigration and human trafficking is also a topic that interests me. Living in NYC most of my life has made me realize that there are many illegal residents and criminals occupying the city. It is important to take measures to prevent any future crime and terrorist attacks on our residents and citizens.
A scholarship will help me tremendously in many different aspects, I have worked very hard over the past 3 years. I went from being on academic probation in Queensborough Community College to dean's list in both Laguardia Community College and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. A scholarship will motivate me to pursue my academic career even further than I have so far. I am highly anticipated and motivated to do my best if I get granted a scholarship.
