Do not forget to ask questions regarding the article at the end. Ideally 3 questions that you could have to the students.
Each week, you will be assigned to read an individual
article (see course outline for your name and assigned week). In this role, you will read the article in its entirety,
write a 3-page reaction essay (double-spaced, 12-font, Times New Roman) and submit it under the tab "Tests
and Quizzes".
Your essay should summarize the reading you are assigned to, discuss key concepts and ideas, and outline 2-3
discussion questions, by thinking through crime problems, data, and methodological and theoretical
issues. Please write your reactions from an analytic perspective, not simply based on personal beliefs. Submit the
reaction paper for your assigned week, on the Wednesday by midnight of the previous week. In other words: if
you are assigned for week 4, you will submit the paper by Wednesday of Week 3. I will provide my feedback to
your reaction essay by Friday 12 p.m. of Week 3. You will be teamed with two or more additional students to
lead the discussion of the readings and questions that you formulate for the discussion board based
upon feedback from the professor on your reaction essay.
