Determine what companies and products are your competition.
Competitive review, also known as competitive analysis or competitive research is a field of strategic research that specializes in the collection and review of information about rival firms. It’s an essential tactic for finding out what your competitors are doing and what kind of threat they present to your financial well-being.
For Part 2 of your Course Project, you will conduct a competitive review for your company. Things to consider:
Who are your competitors?
What products or services do they sell?
What is each competitor’s market share?
What are their past strategies?
What are their current strategies?
What type of media are used to market their products or services?
How many hours per week do they purchase to advertise through the media used in this market?
What are each competitor’s strengths and weaknesses?
What potential threats do your competitors pose?
What potential opportunities do they make available for you?
